Rio Vista, VISALIA, CA. 93292                               Junann Amaral - Executive Director Local Pageant Contract 1.  I, attest that I am a citizen of the United States of America and that I reside in the city of_____________________ , county of_________________ , and State of California: that I am presently a registered student at________________________________ High School, College, or University or I work at_________________________________In Tulare County; that I have never been married, that I have always been a female and will be between the ages of 17 and 24 by October 31, 2009; that I am of good moral character and have never been pregnant, and I am not now pregnant, and have not been involved at any time in any act of moral turpitude; that I have never been convicted of any crime and do not have any criminal charges pending against me, nor have I ever done any act or engaged in any activity which is or could be characterized as dishonest, immoral, immodest, indecent, or in bad taste; that I am in reasonably good health and can to the best of my knowledge participate fully without limitation in Pageant activities. 2. I, agree to participate in the series of events leading up to the selection of Miss Tulare County 2010 and to abide by and be bound by the rules and regulations governing the Pageant and the awarding and supervision of the Pageant scholarship. 3.  If I am selected as Miss Tulare County 2010, I agree to make myself available for public appearances required of me by the Pageant officials. I understand that the directors of the Miss Tulare County Scholarship Organization will act as my booking agent for all appearances. I will refer all requests for public appearances to the directors of the Miss Tulare County Scholarship Organization.  When appearing as Miss Tulare County 2010, I will always dress appropriately for the occasion with hair, make-up and nails groomed. I also understand that I will not be allowed to have male companions with me during public appearances. I also agree that I will not show affection to anyone of the opposite sex during appearances or in public. 4.  In preparing for the State Pageant, I agree; to workout to maintain my physical appearance; to maintain a reading program to keep up with current events; I agree to attend interview and preparation sessions that are scheduled for me. 5.  I agree that the directors of the Miss Tulare County Scholarship Organization have final approval rights on any and all of my competition clothing to be worn in the Miss California Pageant. I also agree that the directors of the Miss Tulare County Scholarship Organization have final approval rights of my talent selection for the Miss California Pageant. I also agree that I will not have others coaching me in any aspect of the Pageant without the approval of the directors. 6. I agree that neither the Directors, Staff, nor anyone working for or with the Miss Tulare County Scholarship Organization shall be held liable should any accident occur during any Pre-Pageant or Pageant activities. 7. I agree that the manner and method of conducting the Miss Tulare County Pageant shall be in sole discretion of the Miss Tulare County Pageant, Miss California Pageant, and the Miss America Pageant. I further agree that the time, method, and manner of judging the Miss Tulare County Pageant and the award and supervision of the scholarships shall be within the sole discretion of the Director of the Miss Tulare County Pageant and the decision of the persons designated to judge the various events in any and all matters pertaining to the selection of the winners shall be final. 8.  If any of the representations and warranties made by me herein shall prove false, or if I engage in any of the prohibited acts or activities described in paragraph one during the year of my service, or if I fail to conduct myself in a manner which, in the opinion of the Miss Tulare County Scholarship Organization and/or The Miss California Organization does not uphold and maintain the dignity and honor of the title “Miss Tulare County 2010,” or if for any reason I am unable, in the sole and exclusive judgment of the Miss Tulare County Scholarship Organization Directors, to perform the duties expected of me as Miss Tulare County 2010, then I understand and agree that the Miss Tulare County Scholarship Organization may in its exclusive option terminate my right to participate in the 2010 Miss California Pageant, as well as my right to the title of Miss Tulare County 2010, and all awards, scholarships, and prerequisites pertaining thereto, and my successor will receive all of the benefits to which I would otherwise have been entitled. 9. I  agree to provide the Pageant directors with my tuition statement in a timely manner in order for my scholarship money to be released. Scholarship money will be available for use beginning the next quarter/semester after being named Miss Tulare County 2010. 10. I agree to have any pictures and biographical information about myself as a Miss Tulare County Pageant Contestant to be published on the Miss Tulare County Scholarship Organization Website.
